Terms of Service

1. The service

DecTog provides deep links, deferred deep links and install attribution for mobile apps. The hosted service is for businesses and developers. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you can accept these terms for it, and "you" means that organisation.

DecTog is also open source. Running it yourself is governed by its licences (AGPL-3.0 for the server and dashboard, MIT for the SDKs), not by these terms.

2. Your account

• Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password and API keys secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• You are responsible for the team members you invite and what they do in your account.
• You must be at least 18 years old.

3. Plans and pricing

Plans are priced by monthly active users, in US dollars:

• Free: $0/month, for fewer than 25K monthly active users.
• Starter: $19/month, for fewer than 75K monthly active users.
• Growth: $39/month, for fewer than 150K monthly active users.
• Scale: $99/month, for fewer than 500K monthly active users.
• Above 500K monthly active users, email support@dectog.com for a custom plan.

Monthly active users are the unique users, counted by device, who opened your app at least once in the last 30 days. Every plan includes every feature. The current plans and prices are always on the pricing page.

If your app goes over your plan's limit, we will contact you to move to a plan that fits. We won't stop your links without warning you first.

We may change prices or plans. A price change for an existing subscription takes effect at your next billing period after at least 30 days' notice by email.

4. Payment

Our order process is run by Creem, which sells paid plans to you as merchant of record. Creem takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT that applies, and issues the invoice. Creem's own terms also apply to your purchase.

Paid plans are subscriptions that renew automatically every month and are charged in advance, until you cancel.

5. Cancellation and refunds

• You can cancel any time through Creem's customer portal, or by emailing support@dectog.com. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan.
• If you are not happy with a paid plan, ask within 14 days of your first payment for it and we will refund that payment in full.
• After those 14 days, payments are not refundable, including for unused parts of a billing period, except where the law requires a refund.
• Refunds go back to the original payment method through Creem.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use DecTog to:

• break the law, or infringe anyone's rights;
• link to malware, phishing, scams or other deceptive content, or disguise where a link goes;
• send spam, or links people did not ask for;
• collect data about people without the notice and consent the law requires;
• break the rules of the App Store, Google Play or any platform your links point to;
• interfere with the service, get around its limits, access other accounts, or test its security without our written permission;
• resell the hosted service without our agreement.

We may disable links or accounts that break these rules.

7. Your data

Your links, apps and the data the service collects for you belong to you. You allow us to store and process them only to provide the service to you.

For data about the people who use your links and apps, you are the controller and we act as your processor, as the Privacy Policy describes. You are responsible for your privacy notice, your app store privacy disclosures, and any consent the law requires. If you need a data processing agreement, email support@dectog.com.

You can export your data from the dashboard and the API at any time. The Privacy Policy explains how long data is kept.

8. Support and availability

Support is by email at support@dectog.com. We answer within 3 business days. We work to keep the service available and your links working, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted. We may change or improve features; if we remove a feature you rely on, we will tell you in advance.

9. Ending the agreement

You can stop using DecTog at any time. To close your account, email support@dectog.com; we delete its data within 30 days, as the Privacy Policy describes.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or leaves a payment unpaid, or where the law requires it. Unless the breach is serious or the law prevents it, we will warn you first and give you time to export your data.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is". Install attribution relies partly on probabilistic matching, and app stores, browsers and operating systems change how they behave, so we can't guarantee every install is attributed or every link opens the app. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not stated in these terms.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars if that is more. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You will cover our reasonable costs from claims by others that arise from your links, your content, or your breach of these terms or the law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here, and email account owners at least 30 days before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt, and its courts settle any dispute. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections that the law where you live gives you.
